Douglas R. Campen
Doug earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Campbell University with a strong emphasis on international relations. His undergraduate experience was highlighted by a nomination by the political science department to attend West Point Military Academy for the annual Student Conference for United States Affairs.
Doug went on to obtain his Juris Doctor from Campbell University School of Law. His main focus during law school was becoming a better oral advocate, while taking a special interest in intellectual property law.
Doug primarily focuses on real property law.
Outside of practice, Doug enjoys woodworking, playing guitar, and exploring the mountains with his wife, Brittany and their dogs, Banjo, Tucker, and Aubree.

Brentley D. Cronquist
Brentley obtained his bachelor's degree from N.C. State University and went on to receive his law degree from the Appalachian School of Law. Also during law school, Brentley completed challenging, yet rewarding, internships with Legal Aid of North Carolina, Durham County Public Defender’s Office and North Carolina Attorney General’s Office. After law school, Brentley moved to Baltimore, Maryland, for two years where he worked at a general practice law office in downtown Baltimore.
Brentley practices criminal defense, bankruptcy, and personal injury.

ASHLEY B. FORTUNE
Ashley enlisted in the U.S. Army as a Combat Medic and spent many years stationed overseas prior to beginning her legal career. She obtained her Bachelor’s in Political Science with emphasis on Political Communications from Brevard College. Ashley went on to attend North Carolina Central University School of Law with the additional focus on obtaining the certificate in Dispute Resolution.
Ashley’s primary practice areas are Estate Planning and Administration and Guardian ad Litem representation. She is also currently sworn in to serve as a Public Guardian and Public Administrator for Transylvania County for Estates and Guardianships through January 30th, 2027.

BRIAN N. STRETCHER, PH.D
Brian graduated from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, Indiana, in 1983 with a B.S. in Chemistry. He received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Cincinnati in 1989, doing his thesis work on the chemical modification of proteins. He then worked as a Postdoctoral Assistant and Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, developing methods for the measurement of anti-HIV drugs inside white blood cells.
Brian graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in May, 1998, and was licensed to practice law in Ohio in November, 1998. After receiving his license, Brian ran a solo law practice in the Cincinnati area for many years, serving clients in Hamilton, Clermont, Warren, and Butler Counties in southwest Ohio. Brian's practice was primarily criminal defense, divorces and dissolutions, and juvenile law, including delinquency, dependency, custody, and child support cases in the Ohio Juvenile Courts.
Brian closed his Ohio practice in 2013 to move to the mountains of North Carolina with his wife of 27 years. He received his North Carolina law license and was sworn in as a North Carolina attorney in August, 2014, and opened his law office in downtown Brevard that same month.
Brian is a member and has been a sponsor of the Brevard/Transylvania County Chamber of Commerce since 2015. He also currently serves on the Heart of Brevard Board, and continues to actively fight to keep courthouse functions downtown.

David C. Neumann
David is the Founder of the Neumann Law firm and has proudly served Transylvania County for over 30 years. He is a graduate of West Point and served in the United States Army in Vietnam as a Captain. Following Vietnam, David was promoted to Major. After serving his country he returned to school to obtain a law degree from the University of Georgia. His primary practice areas are real estate, estate planning, and estate administration.
